Aman Bhutani is the new Chief Executive Officer of GoDaddy as Scott Wagner is set to step down from the post due to health concerns.
During his stint with Expedia Group Inc., Bhutani most recently served as the President.
Bhutani said in a recent statement, “GoDaddy’s extraordinary focus on constantly innovating and improving for its entrepreneurs has built a devoted and rapidly growing customer base. I look forward to working closely with everyone at the company to seize the vast opportunities that lie ahead”.

A Sikh by religion, Aman Bhutani has done BA in Economics graduate from Delhi University. Aman’s appointment is effective from September 4th, 2019. He joins the ranks of an increasing number of Indians who are at the helm of leading multinational firms.
Bhutani has a nine-year experience at Expedia and recently served as the President of Brand Exedia Group. Before this, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice-President of Engineering. Bhutani began his carrer as a senior engineer with ConneXions Technologies. According to his Linkedin Profile, he worked with JPMorgan Chase before joining Expedia.
“It is hard to capture in words the incredible impact Aman has had here over the years – as a technology leader, as the leader of Brand Expedia Group and as a thought leader across Expedia Group,” said Mark Okerstrom, Expedia Group CEO and president, in an emailed statement last week.
GoDaddy added that its website building app called GoCentral had strong demand as did Managed WordPress. In addition, GoDaddy has added Amazon Web Services integration. AWS will use GoDaddy’s domain platform for domain registration.
GoDaddy’s market share has been on a rise. For 2019, GoDaddy said it expects revenue to be between $2.97 billion to $3 billion, up 12% to 13%.
