Check the Whois first - Don't Jump into Decisions too fast!

This post is to express gratitude towards another blogger, Gabriel de Kadt, who wrote an article about me on his website, Qreativbox.com

The year was 2009 and the domain name was SolutionsOverseas.com.

I don’t even know the person, neither did he know me. The article was not about any good things or business deal we did, but was rather a complain he had about me that I mentioned one of his websites in my Portfolio of websites I own.

I registered the domain name SolutionsOverseas.com in 2004 and it was dropped after 2 years. But since I had developed the domain name into a website, with pages in it, it did remain in my Portfolio of websites made.

The domain name was dropped by me (not renewed) after some two years and as it seemed Gabriel happened to register the same domain name after a few years, probably 2008-2009 and when he searched for a backlink to that domain name on Google he found me claiming I build that website (a confusion over the years) and this is what he wrote in his blog regarding me:

I read this article a few years back and was surprised. But I did realize that the person has a valid point. He was not wrong at his end. So I wrote him a comment on the same article post as well as sent him an email with the same content:

The point is, while Whois served the evidence that both of us were right in our own ways, how such things would be handled in the future when GDPR will remove the most publicly accessed ownership record – the Domain Name Whois.

Here is the URL, in case it still exists:
