What are Mini-Sites ?
Mini-Sites are basically small websites designed solely around making an income from Google Adsense or other similar Advertisements rendering services by driving traffic to these websites which in turn, if built correctly will result in a pretty respectful income.
The purpose of Mini-Sites is to create content rich web pages that are highly geared towards a specific Niche to help attract visitors and providing the domain name owner with another income stream.
Minisites can add value to a brand by offering Enhanced unique user experience with rich user-oriented content, Focused lean navigation and Specially tailored site design and marketing voice.
Are they costly just like regular websites ?
Mini-Sites are very cheap to produce in terms of initial outlay and continued costs. If you are starting from scratch with nothing then it is possible to set up your first site for under $100 and that includes everything – the web design, the web hosting, and ofcourse domain name.
Every domainer will agree that they own more domains than they have the time to develop. In case you own a decent domains portfolio of more than 2,000 domain names, like me, I would suggest that domainers use parking to help them select which of their domains to develop into mini-sites or larger authority sites – those domains that produce a lot of parking revenue will do even better when developed.
The minisite should be simple, clear, and interesting. And, of course, the minisite should push it to visitors to add it to their favorites so they will be willing to return soon. The content needs a tempting wrap, could be shocking, controversial or just somehow catchy.
For Mini-Sites too, Yes, Content is the King!
Minisite Contents will be your main source of driving traffic. What you need to really think of when writing is that you should know how to target the right keywords and add supporting keywords to further increase its effectivity.
You first need to understand the keywords that you’re targeting, you need to know which keywords you should mainly target and the supporting keywords. In this example, for the domain PrinterShop.com, You’d want to obviously target the main keywords, Printer Shop and Printer Store. Other keywords, such as Printer Ink Shop or Printer Store, are supporting keywords that should help you out in targeting and getting the getting ranking in Search Engines.
Take time to research and find out more about the topic you’re writing. Normally, experts recommend that you write based on your interest, this way you write great content as you share your own expertise. You really need to think about your visitors when doing so, remember it’s your visitors that you really write for and what visitors will value. So find out as much as you can and put yourself in the shoes of a visitor, ask yourself, is this information enough?
You might develop your Mini-Sites in HTML (the way I do) or simply use WordPress, the most loved website developing tool these days.
